PC/ABS | PC with ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene)
PC (Polycarbonate) with ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene); PC/ABS is a blend between PC and ABS. This material offers the majority of the desirable properties of its two component materials. This means it obtains the unique high processing capacities from ABS, combined with the excellent mechanical properties, resistance to impacts and heat from PC. The ratio between polycarbonate and acrylonitrile butadiene styrene mainly affects the heat resistance of the end product.
PC/ABS blends have a synergistic effect resulting from the excellent resistance to impacts and low temperature, which is better than the resistance to impacts of ABS or PC separately.
