Thermoplastic Rubber TPV | Vulcanized Thermoplastic Elastomer

TPV (Thermoplastic Vulcanizates), are a blend between a thermoplastic matrix and rubber, able to be vulcanised, used for a wide range of applications in industrial and consumer products. The unique combination of properties and ease of processing help achieve critical targets as well as low production costs, consistent quality and improved production performance.

TPV has environmental resistance comparable to the rubber composite EPDM, whilst its fluid resistance is comparable to that of polychloroprene rubber for general use; a unique combination allowing it to be used for a wide range of applications. Thermoplastic Vulcanizates (TPV) are a series of high-performance elastomers that combine the desirable features of vulcanised rubber – such as flexibility and low compression – with the ease of processing of thermoplastics. Positioned in the middle of intermediate-range prices and the development spectrum of both thermoplastics and thermostable rubbers.
