ALSER has been sensing the feeling of this market where recycled and recyclable plastic is very present: Boxes, Pallets, Trays, Supports, Bags, Nets, etc.
But there is still a long way to go for cardboard, which is now presented in a mix with PE film. This mix cannot be recycled after its useful life. It is already present in boxes and trays.
The hardness and impermeability, two great solutions of plastic, are seen as a deficit in cardboard and small wooden trays, which on the other hand are more expensive to recycle.
In addition, forests are cut down to supply these applications.
The drive for recycling and its enforcement should already be in the hands of EU Eco-legislation.
On the other hand, the fair is a very powerful, well-established and innovative sectoral conglomerate.
